# Embroidery Information

## Professional Embroidery for Workwear, Uniforms & Branded Apparel

Embroidery is one of the most durable and professional methods of garment decoration available. Using high quality threads stitched directly into the fabric, embroidery creates a premium finish that is ideal for workwear, uniforms, teamwear, hospitality clothing, corporate apparel, and promotional garments.

At Digi-iD, we use commercial embroidery equipment to produce consistent, long lasting results across a wide range of garments and accessories.

## Why Choose Embroidery?

### Professional Appearance

Embroidery provides a premium, textured finish that enhances the appearance of your brand and creates a professional image.

### Exceptional Durability

Unlike many decoration methods, embroidery is stitched directly into the garment, making it highly resistant to washing and everyday wear.

### Suitable for Many Garments

Embroidery works particularly well on:

* Polo shirts
* Hoodies
* Sweatshirts
* Fleeces
* Jackets
* Softshells
* Workwear
* Caps and hats
* Bags and accessories

### Long Lasting Branding

With proper care, embroidered logos can maintain their appearance throughout the life of the garment.

---

## Logo Setup and Digitising

Before a logo can be embroidered, it must be converted into a specialist embroidery file format. This process is known as digitising.

Digitising determines:

* Stitch type
* Stitch direction
* Stitch density
* Thread colours
* Overall embroidery quality

A one-time digitising charge may apply for new logos.

Once created, your embroidery file can usually be reused for future orders featuring the same design.

---

## Artwork Requirements

For the best embroidery results, we recommend supplying:

* Vector artwork (AI, EPS, SVG, or PDF)
* High resolution PNG files
* High quality JPEG files

Low resolution images may require artwork recreation before embroidery can proceed.

---

## Embroidery Size Guidelines

Typical embroidery sizes include:

### Left Chest Logo

Approximately 80mm to 110mm wide

### Cap Logo

Approximately 50mm to 120mm wide depending on cap style

### Sleeve Logo

Approximately 60mm to 100mm wide

### Large Back Embroidery

Sizes vary depending on garment and design requirements

Our team will recommend the most suitable size based on your logo and garment selection.

---

## Thread Colours

We offer a wide range of embroidery thread colours to closely match your branding.

Where exact colour matching is critical, we will advise on the closest available embroidery thread colour.

Please note that embroidered thread colours may differ slightly from printed colours or colours viewed on screen.

---

## Embroidery Limitations

While embroidery is an excellent decoration method, certain designs may require adjustment for optimal results.

Very small text, fine lines, gradients, shadows, and highly detailed artwork may need to be simplified before embroidery.

Our team will advise if modifications are required to achieve the best possible result.

---

## Production Tolerances

As embroidery is a stitched manufacturing process, minor variations may occur between garments and production runs.

These may include:

* Slight positioning variations
* Minor stitch variations
* Small differences between garment batches

Such variations are considered normal within the embroidery industry.

---

## Caring for Embroidered Garments

To maximise the life of your embroidered garments:

* Wash inside out at 30°C
* Avoid bleach and harsh detergents
* Tumble dry on a low heat setting if required
* Do not iron directly over embroidery
* Follow garment manufacturer care instructions
